YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!As you can clearly see, I absolutely love the Waste. Here's their latest effort, Massive Aggressive. It's a bit slower and the lyrics are a bit more 'mature' (they stopped singing about zombies and beer), but it still kicks ass.1) Masked By Delirium2) Mech-Cannibal3) Divine Blasphemer4) Massive Aggresive5) Wolves of Chernobyl6) Relentless Threat7) The Wrath of the Severed Head8) Upside Down Church9) Shredded Offering10) Media Skeptic11) Horny for Blood12) Wrong Answer13) Acid SentenceMyspaceDownload link removed at request of record company
Behemoth are back with their 9th full-length album, Evangelion. This one is without a doubt a step up from Demigod and The Apostasy. They even debuted at 56 on the Billboard Top 200! Along with Crack the Skye, this is one of the best mainstream metal albums released this year.1) Daimonos2) Shemhamforash3) Ov Fire and the Void4) Transmigrating Beyond Realms ov Amenti5) He Who Breeds Pestilence6) The Seed ov I7) Alas, Lord is Upon Me8) Defiling Morality of Black God9) LuciferMyspaceDownload
There haven't been too many great melodeath releases in the past couple of years. However, Be'lakor's Stone's Reach is among the few recent melodeath albums that won't (or at least shouldn't) be forgotten. Instead of going for the usual Children of Bodom, In Flames or Arsis styles, Be'lakor plays something similar to Opeth's Blackwater Park and the legendary Heartwork and Slaughter of the Soul. The only complaint I have about this album is the average song length, which is hardly a problem and is canceled out by the band's mastery of the genre.1) Venator2) From Scythe to Sceptre3) Outlive the Hand4) Sun's Delusion5) Held in Hollows6) Husks7) Aspect8) Countless SkiesMyspaceDownload
What we have here is technical death metal, but not the kind with all the guitar neck wankery. True, there's still intricate guitarwork on No Tolerance For Imperfection, but what makes Man Must Die tech death is their complex rhythms. If you like death metal, this is a must-have album for this year.1) No Tolerance For Imperfection2) Gainsayer3) Kill It Skin It Wear It4) It Comes In Threes5) This Day Is Back6) Hide The Knives7) Dead In The Water8) What I Can't Take Back9) Reflections From Within10) How The Mighty Have Fallen11) Survival of the SickestMyspaceDownload
